Who We Are

We bridge the gap between college and careers.

MentorsLeaf is a career technology company. We help students become industry-ready through internships, industry programs, project-based learning, mentorship, corporate training, career services and community.

Why We Exist

Talent is everywhere. Industry exposure is not.

Most students graduate having never worked in a sprint, defended a design decision or shipped something a stranger relies on. That gap — not intelligence, not effort — is what makes the first job so hard to get.

We started MentorsLeaf to close that gap with structure instead of slogans. Real problem statements. Real reviews. Real deadlines. The kind of experience that changes how someone talks about their own work.

We don't promise placements. We build the evidence that makes hiring you an easy decision.

Learn. Build. Grow.

Our Story

How MentorsLeaf actually came to be.

The spark

A gap nobody was naming out loud

It started with a simple, uncomfortable observation: talented students were graduating with strong grades and no story to tell in an interview. Not because they lacked ability — because nobody had ever put them in front of a real problem, a real deadline, or a real review. Everyone talked about the skills gap. Almost nobody was closing it.

The first cohort

Built with twelve students and zero shortcuts

MentorsLeaf's first program ran with a handful of learners, a whiteboard full of ambitious plans, and mentors who insisted on treating every submission like a pull request, not a homework file. It was slower and harder than a typical course. It also worked — students walked away with projects they were proud to defend, not just certificates to file away.

Finding our shape

From one course to a full system

Programs alone weren't enough. Students needed internships to apply what they'd learned under real stakes, career services to translate their work into interviews, and a community that didn't disappear the day a course ended. So that's what we built next — piece by piece, always tested against one question: does this actually make someone more hireable?

Today

A career technology company, not a course platform

MentorsLeaf now works with students, colleges and companies who all want the same thing: proof over promises. We still measure ourselves the same way we did with that first cohort — not by how many people enrolled, but by how many people left able to do the work.

"We don't build courses. We build the moment someone realises they can actually do the job — and then we hand them the proof."

Mission

Make industry experience accessible, so a graduate's first job is a continuation of their work — not the start of it.

Vision

A generation that enters the workforce with proof of work, professional judgement and the confidence to build.

Approach

Programs, internships, mentorship and community working as one system for career readiness.

Promise

Honest expectations, serious craft and support that continues after the certificate.

Manifesto

Learn. Build. Grow.

Learn from people who are still building.

Build things that break, then make them hold.

Grow in public — with a portfolio, not a promise.

Values

What we hold to, when it's inconvenient.

Craft over claims

We measure ourselves by the quality of work our learners can show.

Honesty in outcomes

No guarantees, no inflated numbers. Clear expectations, consistently met.

Proximity to industry

Everything we teach is validated by people currently building.

Respect for time

Structured, focused programs that fit alongside college and work.

Access

Mentorship shouldn't depend on your network or your city.

Long horizon

We build relationships across a career, not a semester.

Founder Philosophy

Teach less. Expect more. Support fully.

Our founding belief is simple: people rise to the standard they are held to, provided someone stays close enough to help them meet it.

What makes MentorsLeaf different

  • Projects are reviewed like production work, not graded like assignments.
  • Mentors are practitioners currently shipping in industry.
  • Career services are built in, not upsold.
  • Institutional programs come with measurable outcome reporting.
  • Community access continues long after a program ends.
